Sam and his team completed a top-to-bottom refurbishment of my large, 4-bedroom period house. The project began in June 2015 and lasted for 5 months. As well as redecorating, the job included fitting a new central heating system, structural changes, complete electrical re-wiring, new drainage and water pipes. The job was completed on time and finished to a high standard. His team were extremely hardworking, professional, punctual and respectful. They went over and above to ensure that we were happy with the job. Sam was very responsive and I had no trouble getting hold of him, which is a problem I have experienced with builders in the past. Overall, a job well done.

Sam and his team did a fantastic job in our living room, resolving an horrendous problem of damp and mould. They re-plastered the external wall and built a ventilation cavity with internal insulation. Finally, they fitted a complex custom made bookcase against the wall. They were hard working, extremely clean and polite in answering all our questions; the living room was kept as the tidiest worksite that I have ever seen. Sam made useful suggestions to improve the insulation and waterproofing of the wall which we had not thought of. He was on site every day to check on progress and to reassure us that everything was going to plan. I would definitely recommend Sam and his guys to any of my friends.

I had RZ do 2 projects for me on my house in North London. They were complicated jobs with many different skills required and with unknowns turning up that needed to be resolved. As added complications, I was living abroad and only rarely able to be on site, the house was partially occupied by tenants. The service delivered was excellent, good communications, flexible working, very good results, in summary highly recommended!!

Very pleased with the entire job Sam and his boys completed on my victorian flat. Everyone was diligent, courteous, skilled and punctual. The whole job was on-budget and finished a day ahead of schedule. They are willing to go the extra mile and you can see this in the excellent finish. The most important quality that I look for in employing a skilled worker is trust and I would put my complete trust in Sam He has worked on two projects for me recently, one lasting a week and the other more than a month in completely refurbishing a property. The work included some of the following – :installing brand new bathrooms in which Sam actually built the units himself. : laying wooden flooring with special acoustic underlay to a very high specification. : constructing himself a custom -made wardrobe for the master bedroom These are just a few of the special skills that Sam brought to bear on the job. After reading some positive reviews, I invited Sam to one of our central London properties to do a complete bathroom refurbishment and full re-paint. The deadline for the project was quite tight and in need of a high quality finish. Previous experience of builders is that they are impossible to contact when you want to talk and their ‘guys’ tend to be quite rude. With Sam and his team, this was not the case, with a high level of communication and a real willingness to work, I was left very impressed. Sam got the job completed on time and in budget and gave me exactly what I wanted in terms of a high quality of work and design. The practice of doing everything to the best of their ability really was evident and their knowledge was also very comprehensive. I will be using them again for future projects without hesitation.

Sam provided a competitive quote and plenty of advice before the start of the project. He was accommodating with when the project could be carried out and i felt happy leaving Sam to complete the work while I was away for a week. Sam kept in contact with me while I was away and on return the bathroom was completed to a high standard. I would highly recommend Sam and I hope to work with him again.

After an initial estimate, Sam carried out a survey for the quote-I was impressed with the time he spent and detail of his inspection. Sam also brought along a folder of certificates/photographs of previous work which was really helpful. As I wanted the work done quickly, Sam got back to me that day with a quote, followed by a written breakdown which was great. Although the plumbing was a challenge(!)Sam and his team got on with the work and created a new solid and safer system in the bathroom. He was easy to talk to and was completely reliable-always on time and clearing up at the end of each day, so there was minimum disruption whilst the work was being carried out. The job was completed within the promised timescale, despite the additional work created by the old pipe system. Sam also paid real attention to detail and finishing, the boxing in and tiling is excellent. I’m really pleased with the finished result, it’s so much better than I thought could be achieved in the bathroom. I highly recommend Sam and his team.

Initially I had hired Sam to redo my bathroom and this proved to be an excellent choice. Sam has a keen attention to detail and his experience has proved invaluable when we had to overcome any problems in the building. If there are any difficult decisions to make, Sam will provide the customer with the correct advice and also any preparation work that would be needed along with the costs. At no time did I feel any pressure. He is very easy to talk to, trustworthy and can be regarded as having the pesonality of a perfectionist, taking great pride in his work. The whole of the works were completed by Sam and two workers. At the end of the day my flat was left clean and tidy which i was very happy about. The workers were friendly and helpful and we were able to deal with any issues over the phone or in person efficiently. We contracted Sam to remove our existing bathroom, knock down the wall with an adjacent room, and to install a new bathroom and separate WC. The work included the construction of a new partition wall; wiring of extractor fans, lights, and an electric radiator; internal and external plumbing; laying a wooden floor in the bathroom and a tiled floor in the WC; applying wooden paneling and dado rails; painting and hanging wallpaper; and hanging new doors. Sam quoted a very competitive price. He brought with him a selection of photos of previous work, which reassured us that he had plenty of experience . He was able to start work at short notice. The phasing of payments also suited us perfectly. A member of Sam’s team, Gregory, had day-to-day responsibility for our job, with Sam and others working some days depending on what was required. Everyone carried out their work to a very high standard and with great attention to detail. We were fairly relaxed about the timetable for the work, but Sam’s team, in particular Gregory, would often work late. The team were good-humoured and communicated with us well. They were also able to work flexibly around other building contractors during the work. At the end of the project, Sam arranged for a large pile of debris to be taken away. We would not hesitate to recommend Sam’s team. We are extremely pleased with the end result and have had many people who have subsequently seen our bathroom, comment on what a great room it is.

Many thanks to Sam and his team for a fantastic job. My central London flat, which is not easy to access (5th floor, no lift) was transformed thanks to Sam’s ideas, creativity and hard work. Sam undertook a full refurbishment of the flat (except for the bathroom which had already been dealt with in the past – had I known Sam before, I would have hired him for that job as well) including new floors, painting walls, new kitchen, a bespoke built-in wardrobe, and, last but not least, a re-decoration and strengthening of the ceiling with a modern and fashionable looking glass cover. Sam always had numerous suggestions and ideas and would always let me choose between various options after giving clear explanations. Besides being extremely hard working and conscientious, he and his team were always friendly and easy to get hold of. I would not hesitate to recommend him and will be happy to provide further feedback to potential customers.

We hired Sam to do a complete bathroom renovation; first gutting the place, redo plumbing, lowering ceiling, closing off a window, making good, tiling installing a new bathroom suit and decorating. The first day Sam and his builder Greg showed up at 9am and for the duration of the project they worked 6 days a week, 9am-7pm (an often later). They finished the project BEAUTIFULLY on time and within budget. Both builders were great at keeping me up to date about progress, any expected delays and small issues they found along the way. Their advice on all things plumbing, electric and tilling was priceless for a renovation novice like me. We used natural stone and Sam was very knowledgeable and understood the materials perfectly. Throughout the work they kept the flat clean and tidy (as tidy as possible under the circumstances anyway). We were 100% happy with the result and would have no hesitations recommending Sam and his guys again. We have just used them for another job and yet again did they delivered.

Sam and his crew did a great job on the refurbishment of our flat. The work done included removing the old kitchen and readying it for the installation of a new one, taking down two partition walls, removing radiators and installing new ones in different locations, removing the old wooden flooring and installing new flooring, updating two bathrooms and painting walls and ceilings. His quote was competitive, his manner professional and he got the work done within the agreed timescale. There were a couple of additional tasks that we agreed on during the weeks that he was carrying out the work, which he also completed satisfactorily. He also came back to iron out some minor issues afterwards. Overall, I would happily recommend Sam to carry out similar tasks.

Sam and his team refurbished our bathroom over the summer whilst we were away. The work was done to a high standard and the result is beautiful. There were a few glitches over the course of the project, but they were resolved quickly and professionally. Our snag list was completed within a couple of days of our return. Since completion 3 months ago our bathroom was worked faultlessly and we are very happy with it.

Sam and his team recently completed a full bathroom refurbishment for us. The whole project was completed on time and took two weeks in total, with work starting promptly at 9 am every day, with Saturdays also counting as a working day. RZ Building Services is an experienced and extremely professional outfit. The finish of the work was excellent and the team were very thorough and do not cut corners. Greg in particular was particularly helpful and was dedicated to ensuring a quality outcome. Though not the cheapest quote we received, we were happy to pay the extra to ensure safety of mind. We would highly recommend Sam and his team for all your building needs.

Sam and his team have worked hard to deliver our kitchen refurbishment in less than 2 weeks. Not the cheapest quote we got, but we could see from the beginning that with Sam no money would have gone wasted! The quality of their work is outstanding, with great attention to details. They have carried out the work to our exact specification and they showed respect for our property while they were working. All of his staff (especially Greg and Patrick!) is professional, tidy, hard working. Our new kitchen looks great and we have already recommended Sam to all our friends!

I can’t recommend Sam and his team highly enough for the work they did at my home – complete refurbishment of kitchen, dining room, bathroom, shower room and also a WC. Although Sam was not the cheapest I chose him for the job because I felt he knew what he was doing and appeared very professional from the outset. He is the only builder I have worked with to have their own contract and offer a 1 year guarantee on work. Quality, finish and time to do the job were amazing. He was also able to start the job much faster than anyone else that I got quotes from. After 2 years the work still looks good and gets compliments. If I had to make any negative observations – it would be that I had to buy fitting for bathroom, kitchen etc. and did not fully appreciate how quickly Sam would need these. This caused stress for both Sam and I during the job, but this was not his fault. We did have a couple of unforeseen problems with insufficient pressure for a new electric shower – so this affected my quote and increased it quite a bit but the solution we came up with (touch wood) is still functioning fine. Sam was also happy to provide references and when there was some minor snagging came back and attended to these without any problems or delay. Really nice person to work with and reliable.

Sam and his team took on the job of renovating our 3 bed Victorian terraced house. It involved knocking through multiple walls, a new bathroom, cloakroom toilet, kitchen, electrics, gas and water pipes, tiling, plastering plus much more. It was all done on time with all the extra and unforeseen bits needed to be done also completed within the original timeframe. The team worked long days, and were always tidy and considerate. Sam was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He took great care and pride on our job, offering great advice throughout the build. A trustworthy man who works to a high standard, we feel very lucky to have had him work on our home.

We can’t say enough about how great Sam is — not only is he a very experienced and talented builder, he’s also just a wonderful person to know and to work with. We feel so lucky that he was available to work for us. We hired Sam to move our kitchen upstairs and lay a hardwood floor. In the process he had to move a gas pipe upstairs, rewire everything, order some missing kitchen components and assist in the design of the new kitchen, and redecorate everything. Sam and his team did an exceptional job from start to finish. Sam worked very hard, staying late and working every Saturday until it was finished, on schedule and on budget (according to a very competitive quote). What we particularly appreciated was not only that worked to the highest standards but also that he was such a good communicator — he always asked us what we wanted to do, always picked up the phone or emailed, and always took the time to make sure we understood each other. He was also very attentive to health and safety issues — we received another quote from a builder who would have buried the gas pipes in the wall, but Sam would never have done that. He made sure everything was as safe as possible. We really valued the sense of complete trust we had in Sam, and this was worth a lot (we haven’t always had good experiences with builders). If you hire him you can be sure that he will do the job to perfection and increase the value of your home. As soon as we can we’ll have him back for new projects.

Sam completed a full cosmetic makeover and some structural work to my 2 bed flat in central london. In summary he and his team are excellent and you must have no qualms about hiring them. I am a working single woman and so had little time and understanding of building works, plumbing, electricity etc. Sam advised me every step of the way and suggested practical, cost effective improvements that I would never have considered otherwise. I was mostly interested in how things would look but Sam made me think about how they would work! Unlike a lot of other builders he also always considered my budget and left the final decision to me but made it very clear what the pros and cons of the different options were. He and his guys were polite, considerate and tidy throughout – I even left them to get on with it for 2 weeks while I was in the States and there were no problems. Sam in particular is great to work with – understated, not pushy but has a problem solving can-do brain and approach to his work. I am thrilled with my flat and absolutely love living here. I would hire Sam and his team again in a heartbeat.

We’re very pleased with the work that Sam and his team has done. Excellent communication and a high standard of workmanship was what we were expecting after viewing Sam’s work for previous clients. He was happy to work to our constraints too, e.g. rewiring without taking the wood flooring up. He was also good at recommending design changes, e.g. repositioning radiators, and solving plumbing requirements for an additional shower room we had created. Fantastic, professional, hard working, respectful builders – minimised the stress of an extension and full renovation. Sam and his team were great. Our 1900 (or so) victorian terrace was in dire need of renovation. We extended 4m out the back and COMPLETELY refurbished the inside – leaving only one internal wall in place from the previous lay out. Full replaster, new foundations and floors, complete rewiring, painting, new kitchen, removal of old kitchen, laying of floors, bringing plumbing up to regulation… pretty much a new home. Sam was a great project manager and his team were hardworking. Sam was always in the thick of things, installing/building etc as well as project managing. He gave us insight and managed a difficult project where other parties were incompetent or difficult. Our structural engineer charged an arm and a leg – and Sam seemed to know more than they did! Our neighbours are serial complainers but Sam managed them politely. He also managed the building controller process. The team completed the entire job in three months (amazing!) and were accommodating as much as was possible. They were incredibly hard working. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sam, Tony, Karol and Charlie.
